Thought I would finally update the blog with some Tech stuff
I finally got around to setting up an XBMC box. It actually has replaced my MythTV setup I have been running for so long. I have even setup a buildslave at the office, which was mentioned on the main xbmc.org webpage! So, I have been having a lot of fun with it. I love the Interface and how it works and really look forward to the progress that is being made on it.

Hello Everyone,
Thanks so much for all your well wishes. We are doing fantastic thanks to everyone! I am creating a small movie highlighting a few of the activites of the past two days. It is about 7 min or so, and it is done, and made, I am just waiting for it to compress and upload to mobile me. As soon as that is complete, I will post the link right here. It says about 2 hours left on the rendering, but hopefully it is not that long. It is only a rough cut, and I will add Music and such later. It is in HD, so that does look pretty cool…
Ok, the link is up! Enjoy! Should work on your iPhone too… Click Large if you want to see it almost 720p HD.

Well, we are packing up to come home. Alicia was in so much pain 24 hours ago, and now here she is all ready to get home! She is such a trooper. Drake will be cleared to come home in a few minutes. Alicia has been cleared to go, so we are set there.
Our pediatrician felt all would be fine with Drake. He didn’t think we should get any test done, because he really didn’t think he was a Down Syndrome Boy. So that was good news. And Drake even passed the new born hearing screening! YEAH! So we are just so blessed, and glad he is here and with our family. Our girls are so excited to meet Drake.
The nursery just brought Drake back and he is cleared to go, so Alicia is getting him dressed to see his sisters!

Well, we got him here! Alicia was started on the pitocin, and after about 5 min, or .3 ml of it, Alicia was at a 10 within 10 minutes, and had the urge to push very soon after than. In-fact, they had another Dr stand in to deliver the baby because our Dr was stuck in traffic. Our Dr did make it for the Birth, and so that was good.
Drake Nathan Davis was born at 5:36pm – 8lbs even and 20 something inches (not sure, I know there was lots going on)
Mother and Baby are doing well. There are still some indicators of him being a Down-syndrome boy, but we won’t know for a day or two on that. But he made it here safely, and that is wonderful! We are so glad to have him here. Here are three pictures we took.

Little Baby Drake

A proud dad and his Son

So glad he made it!

Well Alicia has been a trooper for the past 2 hours. But she is still at an 8. You can imagine how disappointed she has been to go through two hours of labor and it not do too much, so they are going to start her on the smallest dose of pitocin they can and see if they can get things moving more. Alicia is in more pain she says than any of the other pregnancies, but we are working through it best we can.

Well, Alicia is hanging in there. Baby’s heartbeat is doing great, but Alicia is getting pretty tired. Still around an 8 almost 9. She is having contractions that last 1 min about 2 min apart. They gave her something to take the edge off of the contractions, but that will only work for another 30 min, and then they can’t give it to here again, because of how far along she already is. So, away we wait… I am doing my best to keep Alicia going. She knows she can do it. She keeps telling me she can.

OK, well we are at an 8. Baby doesn’t seem to want to drop down as quick. Alicia has had some tough contractions in the last little while. And really had to breath through them. She wasn’t too happy to know she was only at an 8 after that last 45 min or so, but we will make it through. Patience is all we need now.

OK, we are at a 7.5 now or so. Contractions are getting harder, so Alicia is in bed and it will most likely be within the next two hours. I will post when anything changes!
What is amazing to me is that Alicia is taking a quick power nap right now for the next 15 minutes. All the nurses are completely amazed that she is just resting, and only once or twice has she had it really hurt. They say she has a super high tolerance for pain, and I can believe that… She is doing great so far… Love you Alicia!!!

We went walking for 30 min, and she still is having contractions but mostly in her back. So we asked for the birthing ball (one of the exercise balls) and she is bouncing on that and rolling around. They will let her do that for the next 30 min or so, then hook her up to the monitors, and see where we are at. If she is at a 6 or 7, then in the bed she will stay until it is time. Dr is happy with the progress, so for now no need for any pitosin. – There is the update for now… :)

OK, so Alicia is now at a 5, and about 90% Effaced, so the walking and jogging got things going. The nurse just went back to call the doctor and find out what the next plan of action is. Most likely, they are going to have her start walking some more and see what we can do in the next hour. Progress is being made.
Yeah!
